About the Role
The company is a globally recognized manufacturer and marketer in the flavor and ingredient industry, partnering with top-tier food and beverage brands. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sales Account Manager to drive business development within the Food Away From Home (FAFH) and Foodservice sector. This role focuses on selling value-added flavor solutions, extracts, and specialty ingredients to major Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and national chain accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new business within the FAFH market, focusing on core menu innovation and product renovation for national accounts.
- Strategic Account Management: Own and manage a defined sales territory, developing long-term, strategic partnerships with key decision-makers at major foodservice chains.
- Technical Sales: Leverage deep knowledge of flavor applications and ingredient technologies to sell complex, customized solutions that meet customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal R&D, marketing, and product development teams to ensure customer success and drive project execution.
- Value Chain Navigation: Utilize an understanding of the complex foodservice value chain to effectively bring new products from concept to commercialization.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 20+ years of successful B2B sales experience within the Food Away From Home, Foodservice, or Industrial Ingredient sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the FAFH ecosystem, including established relationships with QSRs, distributors, and chain accounts.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets, developing new territories, and winning high-stakes accounts with technical, value-added solutions.
- Network: An established network of relevant industry contacts within the food and beverage manufacturing space.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote, home-office setting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $160,000 – $190,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
