Bloom Glacier Crush Flavor Is Back in the Spotlight. What Does It Actually Taste Like?

Saturday October 10, 2026 – If you've searched "Bloom Glacier Crush flavor," you probably have one question: what does it actually taste like?

Bloom Nutrition has never put a fruit name on Glacier Crush. There's no raspberry, cherry or strawberry on the can. The can copy just promises a blast of crisp, refreshing flavor, and the brand's description for its new variety pack calls it "a fruity rush."

That vagueness is a big part of why people keep asking. And this fall, the drink has a new reason to land in shopping carts.

Glacier Crush isn't a new release. It first rolled out to stores in October 2025. What's new is its spot in Bloom's limited-edition Frosty Faves variety pack, alongside the brand-new Strawberry Shortie and Shirley Temple.

What flavor is Bloom Glacier Crush?

Officially, Bloom doesn't say. The label lists natural flavors and describes the taste as crisp and refreshing, but no specific fruit is named.

The name and winter branding point toward the icy "blue" flavor most people know from sports drinks, freezer pops and slushies. One thing that catches first-timers off guard: the drink itself isn't blue. The Impulsive Buy noted that it pours yellow.

Does Bloom Glacier Crush taste like blue Gatorade?

That's the most common comparison. Sporked tried Glacier Crush in October 2025, after picking up a can at the NACS convenience-store trade show, and called it a solid take on Gatorade's Glacier Freeze. The reviewer found it crisp and refreshing but hard to describe, and gave it an 8/10.

Bloom hasn't acknowledged any link to Gatorade, and Sporked noted the company wouldn't comment on one. Still, for a lot of drinkers, Glacier Freeze is the closest reference point.

Stack3d, covering the October 2025 rollout, described Glacier Crush as a very sweet, popsicle-like flavor.

Is Bloom Glacier Crush blue raspberry?

Not officially, but blue raspberry is the other comparison you'll see most. The Impulsive Buy, which bought its can at Target, said the flavor reminded the reviewer of blue raspberry, even though the ingredient list at the time included lychee extract.

The fairest description: a sweet, crisp, icy fruit flavor that many people compare to blue raspberry or blue sports drinks. Bloom itself doesn't call it either one.

Why is Glacier Crush getting attention again?

Mostly because of the Frosty Faves pack. BJ's Wholesale Club lists the limited-edition 18-can box as a new arrival. It contains:

  • 6 cans of Strawberry Shortie
  • 6 cans of Glacier Crush
  • 6 cans of Shirley Temple

BJ's calls Glacier Crush the winter-themed flavor in the box and labels Strawberry Shortie as brand new.

The timing lines up with Strawberry Shortie's debut. On October 5, 2026, Keurig Dr Pepper, which distributes Bloom Energy as a partner brand, announced that Strawberry Shortie would be available beginning in October 2026, with Cotton Candy and Lemon Freezie arriving in January 2027.

So anyone buying the pack to try Strawberry Shortie also gets six cans of Glacier Crush.

Is Bloom Glacier Crush a new flavor?

No. It rolled out in October 2025 and was the first new flavor added to the Sparkling Energy line after launch.

It also wasn't a short holiday run. Bloom still lists Glacier Crush on its Sparkling Energy product page, next to Crisp Apple, Strawberry Watermelon, Shirley Temple, Raspberry Lemon, Peach Mango, Cherry Lime, Juicy Orange and the seasonal Pear Scare.

So it isn't a discontinued flavor making a comeback, either. It's a current flavor that's getting a second wave of attention thanks to new seasonal packaging.

How much caffeine is in Bloom Glacier Crush?

Glacier Crush uses the standard 12-ounce Bloom Sparkling Energy formula: 180 mg of caffeine from green coffee bean extract, zero sugar and 10 calories per can. (Bloom's smaller 7.5-ounce cans have 100 mg.)

Current ingredient lists at BJ's and Food Lion include carbonated water, citric acid, a prebiotic fiber (xylooligosaccharides), taurine, L-theanine, natural caffeine, sucralose, natural flavors, Asian ginseng root extract, apple cider vinegar and B vitamins. Some retailers, including ShopRite, still show an older list with a different prebiotic fiber (galactomannan) plus lychee and green tea extracts, so check the label on the can you actually buy.

180 mg is a lot of caffeine for one can. The label says it isn't intended for children, people who are pregnant or nursing, or anyone sensitive to caffeine. Treat it as an energy drink, not a flavored seltzer.

Where can you buy Bloom Glacier Crush?

Glacier Crush is part of Bloom's regular lineup. You can order it from Bloom's website, and it's sold at retailers including Target, GNC, Walmart, ShopRite, Food Lion, Stop & Shop and Giant. Single cans run about $2.49 at ShopRite.

The Frosty Faves 18-pack is the seasonal option. BJ's lists it at $24.99 online, with some clubs showing $26.99, and at least some locations already show it as sold out. Because it's a limited edition, expect availability to be spotty as the season goes on.

Is Glacier Crush worth trying?

If you like blue sports drinks, blue raspberry slushies or freezer pops, you'll probably get it right away. Expect sweet fruit, a crisp tartness and an icy character rather than one fruit you can name.

Bloom's refusal to put a conventional fruit name on the can is part of the appeal. Just remember it's a full-strength energy drink.

The short version

Bloom doesn't name a fruit for Glacier Crush. It describes the flavor as crisp and refreshing, and reviewers most often compare it to Gatorade Glacier Freeze or blue raspberry.

The flavor launched in October 2025 and is still part of the regular lineup. It's back in the conversation because of the limited-edition Frosty Faves pack, where six cans of Glacier Crush share the box with Shirley Temple and the new Strawberry Shortie. (e)
