A flavor company is looking to hire an Application Scientist to join our Pharmaceutical Business Unit. This is an exciting, customer-facing role where you will work in a lab-based team developing color, coating, and flavor excipients for dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products—with a focus on "non-active ingredients."
If you are a scientifically curious problem-solver who thrives on collaboration and turning lab outcomes into real-world solutions, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact.

- Build Expertise: Develop deep subject matter expertise for optimal use of excipients in key customer formats (e.g., gummies, beverages, chewable tablets).
- Create Technical Content: Generate technical documentation and application samples for demonstration kits and product launches, and conduct training for technical and commercial teams.
- Troubleshoot & Guide: Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to product usage. Understand customer formulations to guide development and troubleshooting strategies for best results.
- Support Commercialization: Follow internal procedures for new product launches, support production first runs, and assist with problem-solving. Cross-train in flavor applications and participate in sensory panels.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: University degree (B.S. or higher) in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in new product development and/or using technical ingredients in consumable goods is preferred, especially in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical products. Prior experience in formulation, development, and production of technical ingredients is a plus. Knowledge of analytical analysis is also preferred.
- Skills: Adaptability, learning agility, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team are essential.
- Travel: Willingness to travel periodically (<20%) as needed.
What You’ll Get:
- High Visibility: A highly visible, customer-facing role where your expertise directly shapes product outcomes.
- Innovative Projects: Opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects in natural and synthetic color development.
- Global Exposure: Interaction with global teams, customers, and evolving market trends.
- Collaborative Environment: A team culture that values scientific insight and creative problem-solving.
