Location: Chicago Area

A flavor company is looking to hire a certified flavorist to work in its sweet/beverage business unit.

This position is a 100% onsite role, offering you the autonomy to create winning flavors for global customers while collaborating with world-class technical teams. Beyond hands-on creation, you will have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of Flavorists, influence global training initiatives, and grow into a leadership role managing a Flavor Creation team. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop innovative flavor solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives, including creation, matching, and concept development.
  • Collaborate closely with Application, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver successful customer solutions and technical support.
  • Contribute to the Flavorist Training Program by teaching modules, with the potential to lead the program on a regional or global level.
  • Provide technical expertise and creation support to internal and external customers, including participating in customer visits and travel to support global business needs.
  • Participate in sensory evaluation panels, SFC meetings, and other technical initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership potential, including the opportunity to manage a Flavor Creation team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in science preferred but not required.
  • Successful completion of SFC (or internal equivalent) certification exam, with 7+ years of experience as a certified Flavorist.
